Andrews Nakahara Announced As Opponent for Myung Ho Bae at ROAD FC 012

Today in Korea, ROAD FC announced Andrews Nakahara as the opponent for Myung Ho Bae’s return to the cage on June 22 at ROAD FC 012.

Nakahara is another name that has been forgotten by many people as of late, primarily due to inactivity. A native of Mogi das Cruzes Brazil, Nakahara first reached fame through his Kyokushin Karate and K-1 exploits, before making his debut against Kazushi Sakuraba at DREAM 2. Nakahara has taken a back-seat to fighting since June of 2012, joining Vitor Belfort’s MMA team as a striking coach. He played a particularly instrumental role in helping Belfort prepare for his recent battle against Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping.

Originally scheduled to reappear at World Series of Fighting, Nakahara instead will makes his perennial comeback against “The Wolverine” Myung Ho Bae at Road FC 012.

Bae was once one of the hottest names in Asian MMA. After taking a nearly year long break from the sport in 2012, it was announced earlier in April that “The Wolverine’ had signed with Korean promotion ROAD FC, and would be making his debut with the organization on June 22nd.

The 26 year old Korean fighter was a staple of Legend FC with wins over their current champion Jiangling Li, Rodney McSwain, and Adam Kayoom. Recognized for his stifling top-game and fantastic wrestling, Bae will be looking to make a statement against Nakahara as he continues his quest for an elusive UFC contract.
