Former DEEP Welterweight Champion Hidehiko Hasegawa (19-20-6) said farewell to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts earlier today in Tokyo, Japan.

The 35-year-old who began his career in 2002 stepped into the ring for one last time at the Differ Ariake. His opponent would be fellow veteran Ken Hamamura (20-10-5) who prior to the fight Hasegawa held a victory over.

However, this time he wouldn’t be able to defeat his foe. And instead Hidehiko would lose the bout via Unanimous Decision after a grueling back & forth battle.

With that loss Hasegawa would end his career dropping his last five outings. Hidehiko’s last win came over Naoji Mikoshiba back in 2011 via Majority Decision.
