UFC Fight Night 34 Post-Fight Bonuses: Doane, Holloway, Saffiedine and Lim bag $50,000 each

The traditional post-fight bonuses were announced during the press conference held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, following the conclusion of UFC Fight Night 34

Russell Doane and Max Holloway took home $50,000 each, following their “Submission of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night” victories over Leandro Issa and Will Chope respectively.

Doane weathered an early storm in round one having battled a Triangle choke attempt by Issa. The Hawaiian, though, transitioned for a beautiful Triangle choke of his own in the dying seconds of Round 2, forcing a tap from the Brazilian.

“I’m going to get a dog,” Issa joked, when queried on what he’s going to do with the bonus.

Max Holloway, meanwhile, faced probably the tallest Featherweight fighter in the world, and had problems countering the Chope’s reach in the opening stages. But the Hawaiian was absolutely ruthless in the second round, as he swarmed Chope multiple times en route to an eventual TKO victory.

Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim took home $50,000 each as well in their spirited display in the main event. Both fighters delivered on the night with numerous striking exchanges ensuing between them.
