Jumabieke Tuerxun, Wang An Ying train at Phuket Top Team ahead of UFC debuts

Two of China’s biggest MMA fighters have made the trip to Thailand for their full training camps, ahead of their promotional debuts at the TUF: China Finale event early next month.

Phuket Top Team welcomes Jumabieke Tuerxun, a former champ in the now defunct Legend FC promotion, and Wang An Ying (2-0), a semi-finalist on the TUF: China reality TV series.

This won’t be the first time that PTT plays host to fighters plying their trade in the world’s famous octagon. Just last year, UFC contenders Joseph Benavidez and Anthony Perosh made pit-stops in the Thailand based gym before they had major UFC fights. Jorge Masvidal, Vaughan Lee, Mike Swick and a load of Asian MMA stars, Bellator stars etc.

Tuerxun, 27, makes his long awaited UFC debut. The Chinese Bantamweight first made a name for himself in his stints with RUFF and Legend FC. Although record keepers like Sherdog have him at 14-0, Tuerxun has, in fact, made over thirty pro MMA appearances – and he’s reigned victorious in every one of them. The 27-year-old is a former Legend FC champ, and he’s scheduled to face Team Lakay’s Mark Eddiva on March 1st.

Wang, meanwhile, is a native of Mongolia. Wang’s parents didn’t originally support their son’s foray into the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, but his resolute drive forced them to compromise. And well, they’d probably be baffled with the fact that the Welterweight is now set to feature in the world’s largest MMA organization. Wang competed at RUFF 9 in May last year and earned a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO victory over Jeff Huang. He’s 2-0 according to the UFC, and he will make his promotional debut against Canada’s Albert Cheng, a fellow contestant on the TUF: China competition.

The Ultimate Fighter: China finale takes place March 1st at the Venetian’s Cotai Arena in Macau, China.

Tuerxun vs. Eddiva and Wang vs. Cheng are the first two match-ups of the preliminary line-up, so you can watch them LIVE, free-of-charge, on the UFC Fight Pass.

It’s a massive month ahead for Phuket Top Team with its fighters scheduled to compete under the Bellator, ONE FC, AFC, M1-Global and UFC banners.
