Video – GLORY 14: Mirko Cro Cop vs. Remy Bonjasky Preview

A rematch for the ages between two legendary kickboxers will take place when the world’s premier kickboxing promotion, GLORY, makes a pit-stop at the Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia on March 8th.

As previously announced, a heavyweight tilt pitting former three-time K-1 Grand Prix champ Remy Bonjasky (98-12-0, 36 KOs) against fellow K-1 world champ Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (22-7-0, 12 KOs), will serve as the headliner for GLORY 14.

Cro Cop, also a legend in the Mixed Martial Arts circles, won the 2013 K-1 World Grand Prix on March 16th in front of his own countrymen in Zagreb, Croatia. Since his return to kickboxing in 2012, Cro Cop has gone 6-0. His first meeting with Bonjasky dates all the way back to 2002, where the Croatian defeated his Dutch-Surinamese counterpart via TKO.

But Bonjasky, 37, has evolved in leaps and bounds since that meeting. Nicknamed “The Flying Gentleman” for his extraordinary array of flying kicks and knees, Bonjasky last featured at GLORY 13, in a controversial losing effort to Anderson “Braddock” Silva in the opening round of the promotion’s Welterweight tourney. He will be looking to snap a three-fight losing skid.
