Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee returns to Yokkao at Yokkao 9

On May 24 next month, Yokkao is set to hit Chinese shores with its ninth installment at the Henan Province in Xinyang City.

Officials confirmed the update on Facebook.

It was also stated on Yokkao’s official website that only three bouts on the line-up will be contested in Full Muay Thai Rules, with the rest taking place in K-1 rules.

Although no match-ups have been announced, the promotion did indicate several names that will be competing on the fight card.

Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, a Muay Thai world champion, will return to fight in Yokkao for the first time this calendar year. His last appearance came at Yokkao Extreme in January 2013, where he picked up a decision victory in a rematch against Frenchman Mickael Piscitello in Italy. He has since won eleven straight bouts, all of which took place under the Thai Fight banner. The 27-year-old remains as one of the most decorated Welterweight stand-up practitioners out of Thailand today.

The rumor mill, meanwhile has been churning with stories that Sudsakorn could be paired up with a Chinese fighter in the main event. It’s not official, but it could very well be an approach taken to appeal to the masses since the promotion is hosting the event in China.

Moreover, it would be well worth noting that Yokkao 9 will feature more than nine fighters from the Yokkao stable, including Pakorn Pk Italian MuayThaiGym.
