Road FC Throws Another Exciting Event

Road FC 16/Young Guns 15 took place in Gumi, South Korea on Saturday.  The Road FC 16 card was headlined by a Flyweight Title Fight between Nam Jin Jo and Min Jong Song.  Nam Jin Jo held relentless pressure on the feet and ground in a back and forth affair that went the three round distance.  Nam Jin Jo took the split decision win and the Flyweight Title, improving his professional MMA record to 9-6.  In the co-main event of the evening.  Riki Fukuda was able to hurt Pride FC veteran Dong Sik Yoon with an uppercut on the feet and defend a Dong Sik Yoon throw and get on top.  Dong Sik Yoon was never in the fight, as Riki Fukuda was able to control Dong Sik Yoon as soon as the fight went to the floor.  Fukuda was able to take mount and then the back as he landed what seemed like an endless stream of punches before the Referee stepped in to stop the bout at 3:36 of Round 1.  Tiger Muay Thai Prospect, Bruno Miranda, was able to land hard shots to the body,  heavy hooks and straights to the head and the eventual fight ending blow, a knee to the solar plexus.  In a showing of pure toughness from the South Korean, Kwang Hee Lee, he was clearly out matched on the feet and in the power category.  Bruno Miranda and Kwang Hee Lee got off to a fast start and didn’t let up until the fight was stopped at 4:29 of Round 1.  The finishing blow, a beautiful right knee to Lee’s body, came after a back and forth striking affair.  Hyo Kyung Song was impressive in her 2nd Round finish of Hazuki Kimura.  Song controlled the fight with her superior size and top control grappling.  Song was aggressive and looking to finish the fight with punches from the opening bell.  In the card’s opening bout, Hyung Geun Park thoroughly dominated Byung Hee Lim for ten minutes.  Park almost finished the fight with a multitude of submission attempts.  The Young Guns 15 fight card was highlighted by Daiju Takase’s first round TKO of Seung Bae Hee.
