Vale Tudo Japan brings a stacked line-up to the Ota City Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.  The fight card is headlined by the VTJ Flyweight Tournament Finals between Hiromasa Ogikubo and Czar Sklavos.

VTJ Grappler’s Crown 1st

 

Earlier in the day, VTJ held it’s inaugural Grappler’s Crown event featuring two different tournaments in two weight divisions.  Shooto veteran Tetsu Suzuki was able to finish a leg scissors choke in the semi-finals of the Lightweight Tournament.

Tetsu Suzuki won on points (4-0) in the finals match to be awarded the 50,000 yen prize.

In the Bantamweight category, Kiyotaka Shimizu won in the finals on points (6-0), securing the sweep for MMA fighters in the grappling tournament.
