Warrior Fighting Championships Can’t Fight Off the Rain

Warrior Fighting Championships was set to hold a Pro-Am event in Penang, Malaysia on Saturday, November 1st.  The event was being held at the outdoor venue, the Gurney Paragon.  Dubbed as the first Pro-Am event to take place in Penang, the event didn’t go off as planned.

The event couldn’t stave off the rain as only three of the twelve scheduled fights took place before the event had to tap out due to the rain.  In a women’s amateur flyweight bout, Penang Top Team’s Wan Ardeena defeated Mardeana Maulana by unanimous decision.  The second fight was a great fight, as Khoo Teik Guan was able to stop Dean Hamsah in the second round.  After a brief stoppage, Beyukaga Ismailov was able to stop Ahmad Zakariya Bin Hussein with strikes.

That would be the final bout of the evening as the rain was relentlessness.  The event has been cancelled with no further plans for re-scheduling the event.  Follow FSA for further updates on the event.
