Daniel Way forced out of AFC 11 main event, replaced by Zein Saliba

Just two weeks out from the Melbourne based promotions year ending event TUF Nations alum Zein Saliba will replace Daniel Way at AFC 11. According to AFC’s Adam Milankovic, this change was forced due to injury sustained by Way, Saliba steps up into the main event opposite Maui Tuigamala at a catchweight of 89kgs.

The complete fight card has undergone one or two revisions and the forced removal of Daniel Way has opened the door for Sydney’s Zein Saliba (4-0) to enter the main event. Saliba will return to competition for the first time since his stay in the TUF Nations AUS vs CAN house, where he was defeated by eventual middleweight winner Elais Theodorou. The CFC and AFC fighter is offically undeafeted and holds a notable victory over UFC and fellow TUF Nations alum Vik Grujic at AFC 4 (extended highlights below). At AFC 5 he missed weight and Walber De Barros progressed in the welterweight Grand Prix without a contest.
