AFC 11 weigh-ins: Jessy Rose Clark loses opponent last minute

Australian Fighting Championship (AFC) was forced to cancel a much anticipated match between Jessy Rose Clark and Lana Kate. The featherweight bout was set for this weekends AFC 11, but Kate was a no show at the weigh-ins and reportedly requested a catchweight bout at 71 kgs according to AFC’s Adam Milankovic.

A disappointed Rose Clark was sitting outside the weigh-ins after the news filtered through that Lana Kate had been treated by paramedics during a unsuccessful weight cut and would be a no show

She said that they had to call the paramedics while she was cutting weight and then she messaged back she wanted to fight but would be over 71 kgs but my coach said no because I (normally) fight at 61kgs (bantamweight).

In the now ongoing saga between Jessy Rose Clark and Lana Kate the two have been scheduled to fight on four separate occasions, however the most recent installment is notable because it has happened on Lana Kate’s home promotion and is the second time in row she has been unable to safely make the scheduled weight.
